Cradle Mountain - 2 day Guided Photo Excursion
Cradle Mountain - 2 day Guided Photo Excursion

Early morning light on the iconic Cradle Mountain, crisp reflections in the tannin waters of Dove Lake, the hidden splendour of Crater Falls, and the quiet beauty of the Ballroom Forest. These are some of the highlights that the Cradle Mountain area has to offer along with Weindorfers home in the wilderness Waldheim, Mount Kate hut and the amazing ancient rainforests. Add to this the Wilderness Gallery which houses one of the best collections of wilderness photography in the country, wombats, fireside chats, expert tuition and one on one instruction from Philip Kuruvita one of Australia’s leading professional photographers to get your photography rocking.

Early morning starts to capture the magnificent scenery as the day awakens, followed by a walk to one of the many beautiful and secluded spots in the area. Shoot sunset and marvel at the wonder of nature as the day comes to a spectacular end (fingers crossed!)

Dinner back at the accommodation followed by a fireside chat to discuss the day and any questions that arose from our adventures. A chance to look at pictures, work on images and ask questions. We have always known that you can learn as much sitting around a fire with a glass of wine as you can from a formal classroom setting.

Tasmania is a wild and woolly place and will deliver up to us a variety of weather and atmospheric conditions, so we will be making final decisions on where to go based on the weather. Remember there is no such thing as bad weather, just poor choice in clothing!

Our guided photography excursions are designed as multiple day/stay overnight on location so that we can take advantage of the wonderful twilight that Tasmania offers at sunrise and sunset.

We are able to tailor these excursions to suit your choice of location and the amount of time you have spend.

We can also organise a program for non photography partners, but watching the sunset over Cradle Mountain or the Freycinet Peninsular with a glass of wine and a selection of local cheeses is a great way to spend an evening even if you dont want to take pictures.

Our aim is to put you in the best possible location at the best time of the day to take advantage of the spectacular light that Tasmania is known for.

Costs are dependant on location chosen and duration - give us a call to discuss your requirements and we will be happy to send a quote.

Groups are limited to a maximum of 4 people.

This workshop is the ideal present for anyone with an interest in photography, regardless of skill level. Gift Vouchers are available here.
