Destination Photo

Want to improve your photography? This is your chance to be mentored by a Grand Master of Photography, Philip Kuruvita. All the images in this book are taken by Phil and he is ideally placed to get you into the best possible location, at the best possible time of day so you can go home with some awesome images from your trip to Tasmania.

For a one-on-one mentoring session, the topic can be whatever you are interested in - people, wildlife or landscape photography. The subject matter and outcomes are totally flexible and designed to address your questions about photography, whatever they may be.

Perhaps you just want some help to get the best out of the equipment you have, or you want to be challenged to take your photography to the next level of personal expression. There is no one else to worry about, Phil’s full attention will be on you for the whole period. Together you can set some very achievable goals to progress your photography in any direction you want to take it.

One of the most popular workshops is the three hour Masterclass, which can be wholly classroom based (you may just want to know about post production in a program like Photoshop) or wholly location based or a mix of the two.

You can choose the Mentoring Masterclass if you have a wide range of questions or one of five location Masterclasses, which focus on a particular subject or scenic location in the Launceston area. Extended workshops can be organised and there are itineraries for Cradle Mountain, Bay of Fires and the Freycinet Peninsula. A full list of our workshops are on our website and they make the perfect gift for the photographer in your family.

Each year, in combination with three other Master Photographers, Richard Bennett, Bruce Pottinger and Ian van der Wolde, Destination Photo runs the Bruny Island Workshop, sponsored by Fujifilm. This five-day day full immersion program will change the way you think about photography for good.
