Wineglass Bay Cruises

Wineglass Bay Cruises offers an unforgettable perspective from which to view the exquisite and remote Wineglass Bay. Step aboard the award-winning Schouten Passage II, a 150-seat eco-adventure catamaran, for a unique 4.5hr cruise that takes you from the gentle shores of Coles Bay to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches.

Along the way, you will get a unique view of the Freycinet Peninsula’s incredible sheer granite cliffs, sea caves and hidden coves, while sharing the captivating history of Freycinet Peninsula with live commentary from the skipper.

With its white sand fringes, stunning scenery and abundant wildlife, located at the edge of a perfect turquoise sea, this is an intimate perspective of one of Tasmania’s most extraordinary places.

Enjoy a Tasmanian Ploughman’s lunch at anchor in the bay, and imbibe local beverages and cool climate wines in nature’s best bar in the wilderness. You’ll enjoy a bento box full of fresh local produce prepared by the award-winning Freycinet Lodge.

Your skipper and guide will be in daily contact with local fisherman to ensure you get the best wildlife experience possible. During the migration season, you have the opportunity to see humpback and southern right whales (September-December and April-June).

Also found in this area are abundant seabirds including Australasian gannets, cormorants, gulls, terns, shearwaters and the shy yellow-nosed and wandering albatross.

Soaring high above are white-bellied and wedge-tailed eagles, and there is always a chance that the bottlenose and common dolphins will come and play in the wake of the boat. The Australian fur seal is another species that calls this area home.

Get up close to the scenery and wildlife in the Vista Lounge, with comfortable indoor and spacious outdoor decks, while the Sky Lounge offers privacy, comfort and personal service along with stunning views from the top deck.
