Rosevears Hotel

Originally known as The Rosevears Tavern, the longest continuously licensed pub in Tasmania has been part of the local community since 1835. For 184 years the tavern has welcomed travellers and locals alike to its picturesque Tamar Valley location. With many changes over the years to the original building, it has now successfully integrated old charm and history with new contemporary design and space.

Now trading as The Rosevears Hotel, it is located in the heart of the Tamar Valley, Tasmania. A leisurely 20-minute drive from Launceston, it is the perfect base to explore the Tamar Valley Wine Route or have a peaceful escape. Enjoy uninterrupted sweeping river views and ultimate relaxation in newly built deluxe boutique accommodation. Modern furnishing and fixtures give you the opportunity to indulge and spa suites are available!

For art lovers, there is an art gallery in the main building showcasing local artists’ work for purchase. If you would prefer to explore, you can book a wine tour at reception, which includes lunch and extras tailored to your group.

The kitchen crew prides themselves on sourcing fresh local produce, seasonally sourced from the best local and Tasmanian producers. In the bar and restaurant you can choose from fresh seafood, cooked to order, delivered that morning, freshly shucked oysters and a full menu that covers all bases. Their custom-built smoker allows them to offer, slow, rich traditional cookery with their house smoked salmon and their signature beef brisket that has been days in the making.
