landfall farm fresh

A value-adding venture promoting farm products has created a local, innovative, true, paddock-to-plate experience. Landfall Farm Fresh is a family owned and operated butchery and fresh food business established in 2008 by the fifth generation Archer siblings Ed, Will, Frank, Ellie and Mimi. Locally grown, premium quality, award winning products are offered, most notably Landfall Angus Beef and Landfall Prime Lamb.

The Archer family has farmed Landfall on the eastern banks of the Tamar River, north of Launceston, since 1876. Today Landfall and Greenhythe form the primary production operation where Landfall Prime Lamb and Landfall Angus Beef are grown. Landfall animals are farmed humanely, in a low-stress environment, within the strict guidelines of a quality assured program. Much time and research has been invested in the selection of genetics from around the globe to produce red meat products of the highest standard achievable. These products have been the key drawcard at the Landfall Farm Fresh retail outlet in Launceston.

A focal point of difference and invaluable business advantage is the close relationship between producer and retailer. This allows complete control of the supply chain, providing consumers with a guarantee of free range, grass fed and hormone growth promotant free products.

The face to face interaction between consumer and producer provides valuable learning for both parties. Consumer appreciation of product origin, product quality and education on cuts of meat and cooking methods has set a new standard of consumer satisfaction and awareness. A quote from a valued customer: “Families like you are the reason why my family moved to Tassie...I love buying ‘real’ food….especially from ‘real’ people”.

The dedicated teams at Landfall and Landfall Farm Fresh are passionate and proud to provide consumers with positive eating experiences. Their locally grown, value for money and high quality products are consistently produced with integrity.
