Spreyton Cider Co is the latest venture from Spreyton Fresh, home of the finest Fresh Apple Juice since 1998.

The families involved in Spreyton Fresh have been growing apples since 1908.  The cidery located on their working orchards was constructed in 2012 with their first bottling taking place in October 2012. Their distinctive difference to other cider manufacturers is their provenance in that they have complete control of the cider making process from tree to bottle.  They grow the apples, juice the apples and make the cider on their orchards in Spreyton.

All their ciders are made from 100% Tasmanian apples and pears, with the majority grown on their own orchards in Spreyton. They use traditional cider making techniques with a modern twist to create their own unique range of ciders.  Their cider undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and is then bottle conditioned to achieve a light carbonation and a supreme flavour.  Both their Classic and Vintage cider have won awards at the 2013 Melbourne Fine Food Awards, with the Vintage also winning Bronze at the Australian Cider Show in 2013.

There are 5 ciders in the range, Vintage - which is the driest of their ciders, made from traditional cider varieties, Dark - a full bodied cider made from Fuji apples, Classic - a crisp middle of the range cider made from Pink Lady & Sundowner apples, the Perry - made from Tasmanian Pears, lighter and naturally sweeter than apple cider and finally Bright - the sweetest in the range and made from a blend of Golden Delicious & Jonagold apples.

The Cidery is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Devonport, and is on the touring route to Cradle Mountain.
