If there is one word to sum up the attitude of King’s Feast to food, it would be passion. Passion for food, passion for the North West Coast of Tasmania, and passion for the local produce. All combine with more than 30 years of expertise to deliver for their customers from Ulverstone and surrounding districts an experience unlike any other.

Using the abundance of fresh local beef, lamb, pork and chicken, the principals of King’s Feast are able to fashion for their customers a huge variety of fresh and cooked food ready for plate, platter and oven. Ray, for example, is a qualified smallgoods maker able to manufacture quality home-style ham and bacon, a myriad of other smallgoods, and a large variety of gourmet, gluten-free sausages.

Darren uses local supplies of excellent quality produce to fashion a range of meat cuts daily into oven and pan ready delicacies. His partner Fiona prepares individual meals for those who just want the simplicity of a delicious, healthy meal conveniently waiting to be reheated.

King’s Feast is passionate in its support of local producers. Beef, lamb, pork and poultry are all sourced locally, most often within a 100 kilometre radius. Occasionally, seasonal conditions will mean produce needs to come from Launceston or Hobart, but rarely further, and they pride themselves on being truly Tasmanian.

The flavours of Tasmania shine in their range of smallgoods, all manufactured on site to exacting quality standards. Ray also has a reputation for making, by hand, the best pork pie outside England, as well as old traditional favourites like black pudding, brawn and tongue loaf. If you want a sausage full of meat and flavour there is more than a dozen to choose from, all gluten free, and made to hand written recipes. You can even bring in your own recipe to suit your own personal needs and Ray will make it for you.
