Kelvin Tombleson was born into a farming family and has raised sheep in New Zealand, (world renowned Canterbury Lamb), Western Australia and now Tasmania. After being out of farming for a while, the urge was too great not to return to his passion. With the support of his wife Jan and children, Chris and Catherine and their families, and the desire to share the pleasures of fresh lamb with the Tasmanian people, Braefield Prime Lamb was born.

Kelvin and Jan’s lambs are raised breathing some of the cleanest air in the world in the pristine North West Tasmania, whilst the lush green Tarkine grasses enhance the natural flavours of the meat. They are raised from birth to harvest without artificial growth stimulants or antibiotics producing a result guaranteed to satisfy the palette of any meat eater. 

The Tomblesons wish to bring the freshest, cleanest meat to their customers, so not only is Braefield Prime Lamb MSA (Meat Standards Australia) approved, they do not transport their paddock to plate lambs in trucks and do not keep them in yards for long periods of time.

You can order a full or half lamb, cut to your requirements, purchase your favourite cuts or try their tasty and extremely popular Gourmet Rosemary and Mint sausages.

The Tomblesons aim is to provide for customer needs, not only selling their Prime Free Range Lamb at Launceston Harvest Market on Saturdays and Evandale Market on Sundays, they provide the Stanley Hotel, Touchwood Café, Stanley, Rocky Cape Tavern, Seabreeze at Killynaught and Aged Care Facilities on the North West Coast. If you are unable to get to the markets they also have a home delivery service or you can order online all year round.
