Having travelled around Australia, Steven and Rhonda Bulbrook fell in love with Tasmania, seduced by the beautiful scenery, great food, friendly caring people and laid back lifestyle. When the opportunity came for a career change in Launceston a few years later, they knew they couldn't turn it down.

They have now fulfilled their dream to have a small family based business where they would be able to work together as a team with family members and wonderful staff to offer good food and great service to loyal customers.

“Peckish? Café is a fun environment and we have enjoyed bringing quality food and service to our customers for over 10 years.”

Steven explains “It was obvious when arriving in Tasmania that the secret of having a successful hospitality based business was to look after and exceed the expectations of the local customers so that they continue to use our business throughout the colder months when tourist numbers are down. We love the locals and they love us. Thank you!!!”

Their customers know that the Bulbrooks look after them holistically and will always meet their dietary needs by making small changes to the menu. “We care about our customers, there is nothing nicer than being part of their lives and sharing their experiences. It does not take long before they feel like part of the Peckish family.”

“It is heart warming to have customers walk past the kitchen window during a busy service and give you compliments about the staff and food. This could only happen in Tassie and that is what we love about living here. We feel privileged to have the opportunity of sharing this lifestyle with our family.”
